Later that day I got a call from a NCL rep saying that they would be personal cruise consultant and was there any cruises I wanted to look at and I asked - what do you have for next month and they had a Caribbean cruise - 10 days - and I said - book that for me please.
That began my goal of seeing the world in 24 months - averaging a cruise a month so 24 cruises in 2 years. I picked a 2 year time limit as I knew that would be about as long as I would want to be going all out in travel mode.
It is now September 2024 - I am on my 24th cruise on the NCL Sky and I have been pretty much everywhere the cruise ships go. I have a December 2024 cruise booked from Tahiti to Melbourne and in February I will go from Singapore to India on Celebrity.
I have done 19 cruises solo, 1 cruise with my Mom which was my first ever cruise, so I am so happy she showed me the ropes as the first cruise has a lot to take in and learn from and also, and I have done 5 cruises with my girlfriend Toni.
There will be a new video of a port going up each Tuesday and Saturday - roughly 300 videos. I will also be doing blog posts, podcasts, and newsletters about my experiences.
I hope you enjoy coming with me on this world wide cruise!

My name is Gary Dean Peterson and I saw the World by Cruise Ship in 2 years.
I had never been on a cruise before and in June 2022 I bought my Mom a 7 day cruise to Alaska for her 81st birthday and I would go with her. My first cruise was a 7 day cruise - Vancouver, BC Canada to Alaska return on the NCL Jewel. I was wowed by the ship and how nice it was and how great it was to just pull right into town - get off - walk around - get back on - go to sleep - wake up in the next town - I loved it.
I was reading the freestyle daily that they give you each night and it said there was a cruise next presentation the next afternoon and they would talk about the new ships and destinations so I went. I was amazed at all the places they go and the presenter said - you can see the whole world by cruise ship and I thought WOW - that would be great.
